Project Overview
The Artist’s Vision: Where Bronze Comes to Life

Tamara Schweigert Robb sees the playful soul in every creature—from grizzly bears tumbling in a Three Ring Circus to mountain goats mid-leap in Spring Training. A self-taught sculptor with Montana roots, her bronzes celebrate wildlife’s lighter side, challenging stereotypes with humor and heart. Her sculptures reveal nature’s character through dynamic compositions and exquisite detail.

Yet, her marketing materials didn’t reflect this nuance. Faded printouts and inconsistent imagery left galleries and collectors seeing only fragments of her talent and craftsmanship of her work. She needed a cohesive visual identity that would showcase the full range of her work—one that would charm galleries, collectors, and workshop students alike.
Challenge: Honoring the Details
Bronze demands lighting that reveals depth and design that complements form. Tamara’s existing materials missed:
  • True-to-life photography—Captured professional images of Tamara’s sculptures, ensuring lighting and angles showcased the intricate details.
  • Adaptability—her branding had to work for whimsical bears and more solemn wildlife like the falcon, and adapt across formats—from gallery submissions to workshop promotions.
  • Gallery-ready professionalism, from jury exhibition slides to handouts that would stand out at shows like the Foundation for North American Wild Sheep (FNAWS) Convention.
  • A system, not just pieces. She needed cohesive collateral she could print on demand for galleries like the Buffalo Bill Historical Center.
Tamara needed a habitat for her art to be seen across media. My goal was to design a system that felt as handcrafted as her work.
Result: A Brand as Dynamic as the Artist
  • Unified and Flexible: Every piece—from postcards to bios—felt undeniably Tamara.
  • Gallery Success: Showcased Tamara’s artistry through high-impact photography of her sculptures. Slides and promotion materials that helped her secure a 2023 feature at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum.
  • Client Confidence: Tamara now hands out materials with pride, knowing they’re as polished as her bronzes.
  • Client Autonomy: Tamara could reprint materials on demand, saving time and cost.

Interdisciplinary Creative Process

I began the project with photography. The first step was to photograph her sculptures and retouch slides she had already done.  I brought her sculptures into my studio and photographed them to showcase their beauty.  Next, I scanned the slides that she wanted to be retouched.  Once my images were color corrected and optimized, and the digital files sent out to be returned as slides, I set out to design her business set.

Bringing the Brand Together

Business Cards & Branding Materials

Using Tamara’s existing logo, I designed a cohesive set of materials that aligned with her artistic voice and professional image. Each piece was thoughtfully arranged to highlight her sculptures while ensuring readability and a refined aesthetic.
  • Business Cards: Featured Three Ring Circus with a clean, balanced layout.
  • Greeting Cards: Included an artist bio, giving customers insight into her work and creative process.
  • Postcards & Stationery: Elegant designs with ample space for handwritten notes.
Rack Cards & Artist Bio Page

To enhance Tamara’s presence at galleries and exhibitions, I created marketing pieces that reinforced her story and artistic vision:
  • Rack Cards: Designed to showcase her bird sculpture and an image of her working in the studio.
  • Artist Bio Page: A full-page layout featuring her professional achievements, past commissions, and personal philosophy on sculpting.
Conclusion
By blending artful photography, strategic copywriting, and elegant design, this project transformed Tamara’s brand into a cohesive narrative. Each piece—whether a business card or bio—tells her story while inviting engagement with her work.
